Finlay is Head of Goodbody Capital Partners. Finlay joined AIB in 2015 as Head of Investment Banking, where he was responsible for AIB’s equity, specialised lending, private banking and corporate finance businesses. In 2023, Finlay established Goodbody Capital Partners, moving the business and team to Goodbody from AIB. Before moving to Dublin, Finlay’s 20-year career in London was mostly in the private equity business. He was a founding member of AnaCap Financial Partners (a specialist financial services investor) and before that a Managing Director at Terra Firma Capital Partners, where he was responsible for transactions in a number of sectors including pubs, hotels, financials and housing. In his early years, Finlay trained as a lawyer with Freshfields before working in investment banking for BNP Paribas and Morgan Stanley.

Alan is a member of Goodbody Capital Partners. Prior to this he was Head of AIB Equity Capital and Managing Director of AIB Corporate Finance, previously working with Investec and NCB Corporate Finance. Alan started his career as a Chartered Accountant with Grant Thornton and EY and graduated with a BSc and MSc in Finance from University College Cork.

Sarah is a member of Goodbody Capital Partners. Prior to this she was Director of Investor Relations and Funding at IRES REIT. Sarah started her career in Investment Management in Goldman Sachs, she worked in IBI Corporate Finance and Research in Goodbody before joining her current role. Sarah is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds an MSc in Finance from the Michal Smurfit School of Business and a B.Comm from UCD

Richard is a member of Goodbody Capital Partners and has over 20 years of seed, venture capital and private equity experience in Ireland as both general and limited partners. He has also advised on equity fund raising, strategic advisory, and transactions, principally in the early stage technology sectors. Richard represents Goodbody Capital Partners on the Advisory Boards of a number of seed, venture capital and private equity Limited Partnerships. Richard holds a degree in geography from the University of Otago, New Zealand, an MBA from Warwick Business School, a Diploma in Corporate Governance from University College Dublin, and he is a member of the Institute of Directors.
