CREDIT UNION ADVISORY

Gerard joined Goodbody in 2018. As Senior Director, he heads up the Advisory Services team and has responsibility for the strategic investment management of client portfolios. Prior to joining Goodbody, Gerard was Head of Irish Equity Research with Investec. Other senior roles included Head of Research with Merrion Capital, and European Equity specialist with Société Générale in Paris and Deutsche Bank in London.

Gerard has 20 years’ experience working in Financial Services. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin and holds a BA in Business Studies and German. In 2022, he won the President’s Award for Best Overall Academic Performance in the MSc in Financial Services.

As Director Wealth Management Advisory Services, he is responsible for the ongoing development of long-term relationships between credit unions and Goodbody.

Prior to joining Goodbody Brendan spent nine years in AIB and 16 years managing Fermoy Credit Union Ltd.

Brendan holds a BSc (Hons) in Mutual and Credit Union Business from UCC, a Certificate in Investment Management with the Institute of Bankers and holds the designation of Specialist Investment Advisor (SIA).

He is a founding member of the Credit Union Managers Association (CUMA) and served on its national executive from 2004 to 2006.

He also served on the ILCU rationalisation committee.

Stephen joined Goodbody in 2002. As Senior Investment Consultant, he is responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies and solutions for clients, with a particular emphasis on capital preservation strategies for credit unions, corporates and other entities. He holds a BA in Accounting and Finance from Leeds University, a Diploma in Wealth Management from the National College of Ireland, is an ACCA Affiliate, Registered Stockbroker and Qualified Financial Advisor.
